In the world of design, research isn’t just a step in the process—it is the process.
In design, research isn’t just a task—it’s the backbone of every meaningful project. Whether I'm crafting educational content, analyzing UX trends, or building strategies around digital experiences, deep insights help me stay aligned with user needs and market expectations.
Recently, I started using the Deep Research tool from Mindstudio, and it's completely upgraded the way I work with information. It's become my go-to method when I need focused, reliable, and structured research in a short amount of time.
Why I Do Deep Research
Every creative decision should be based on understanding. I rely on research to:
Explore industry trends
Benchmark best practices
Discover gaps in current solutions
Learn from both successful and failed case studies
I used to do all of this manually—searching articles, comparing sources, and trying to organize findings. Now, when I want to dive deep into a topic, I reach for Mindstudio’s Deep Research tool.
Why Not Just ChatGPT?
I still use ChatGPT daily for writing help, quick answers, and brainstorming. But when it comes to structured, repeatable, and topic-specific research, Mindstudio offers a clear advantage:
The Deep Research tool is designed to scan across reliable sources and synthesize long-form answers.
It handles broad and layered questions better than a standard chatbot flow.
It reduces the back-and-forth—you just input your topic and let the AI do its thing.
ChatGPT is great for conversation. Mindstudio is great for clarity.
Example: Researching UI/UX Design Education in Europe
One of my latest research projects was focused on design education across Europe, specifically UI/UX programs. Here’s a quick summary of what I explored:
This comprehensive report examines the current state of UI/UX design education across European institutions as of April 2025. It analyzes top-rated programs, curriculum approaches, technological tools, assessment methodologies, industry trends, and career outcomes for graduates. The report provides valuable insights for prospective students, educational institutions, and employers navigating the evolving landscape of design education in Europe.

I created this report using Mindstudio’s Deep Research tool with one simple goal: to understand how others teach design effectively. I’m working on my own mentoring program, and I want it to be grounded in both experience and real educational standards. This research helped me uncover best practices in curriculum design, tools being used in classrooms, and how graduates are being prepared for careers.

The tool gives back a long-form, structured response. I can highlight key points, extract quotes, or turn insights into frameworks.Apply and Build
I use what I learn to improve my mentoring structure, write blog content, guide product features, or even plan future talks.
What's Next: Manus AI
Right now, I’m also on the waitlist for Manus AI, which looks like a promising platform for structured long-form reasoning. From what I’ve seen, it may offer even more advanced capabilities for deep research, especially for creators, analysts, and founders. But until that’s available, Mindstudio is my current favorite for fast, meaningful insight-gathering.
Final Thoughts
Good research helps you design with confidence. Tools like Mindstudio make it easier to ask big questions and get thoughtful, structured answers—without spending days collecting sources.
If you're a designer, educator, or strategist who wants to go beyond surface-level insights, I highly recommend giving it a try.
