Today, for the design of different sites, we need to have some "third-party" knowledge that will help us to be a "Good" designer instead of just a senior designer. I chose Creativity and Storytelling.

And here are some books that helped me to snuggle in these areas:

1. Building a StoryBrand: Clarify Your Message So Customers Will Listen

The StoryBrand process is a proven solution to the problems business leaders face when talking about their companies. Without a clear, clear message, customers won't understand what you can do for them and won't want to engage, resulting in lost sales potential, customer acquisition opportunities, and more.

What does this give designers? The fact is that we also talk about business with the help of interfaces, and after this book, we can say we are closing another hole in our products. And then the websites that are supposed to talk about the product do it much better.

2. Design Is Storytelling

Design Is Storytelling explores the psychology of visual perception from a narrative point of view. Presenting dozens of tools and concepts in a lively, visual manner, this book will help any designer amplify the narrative power of their work. While reading this book, after each chapter, I remembered my work and thought about how I could do it differently if I knew all these tools before. The book, with all the information, also coolly motivates and makes you want to work, work, but in a completely different way.

3. Show Your Work!

In his New York Times bestseller Steal Like an Artist, Austin Kleon showed readers how to unlock their creativity by “stealing” from the community of other movers and shakers. Now, in an even more forward-thinking and necessary book, he shows how to take that critical next step on a creative journey―getting known.

Show Your Work! is about why generosity trumps genius. It’s about getting findable, about using the network instead of wasting time “networking.” It’s not self-promotion, it’s self-discovery―let others into your process, then let them steal from you. Filled with illustrations, quotes, stories, and examples, Show Your Work! offers ten transformative rules for being open, generous, brave, productive.

4. Serious Creativity: Using the Power of Lateral Thinking to Create New Ideas

"Serious Creativity: Using the Power of Lateral Thinking to Create New Ideas" is a book written by Edward de Bono, a leading authority in the field of creative thinking and problem-solving. The book explores the concept of lateral thinking, which is a thinking technique that encourages individuals to approach problems and generate ideas from unconventional angles.

In this book, de Bono emphasizes the importance of developing a creative mindset and provides practical strategies and exercises to help readers tap into their creative potential. He discusses the limitations of traditional vertical thinking and introduces lateral thinking as a way to break free from rigid thought patterns and explore new possibilities.

5. Pixar Storytelling: Rules for Effective Storytelling Based on Pixar's Greatest Films

Pixar Storytelling is about effective storytelling rules based on Pixar’s greatest films. The book consists of ten chapters, each of which explores an aspect of storytelling that Pixar excels at. Learn what Pixar’s core story ideas all have in common, how they create compelling, moving conflict and what makes their films’ resolutions so emotionally satisfying.
